Untitled design

Prestige Interiors recently completed a workplace transformation project for M-Group, a leading infrastructure services provider operating across energy, rail & aviation, highways, water, and telecom. M-Group solves and transforms its clients' most complex strategic challenges, delivering integrated solutions for the systems that support everyday life. The project focused on creating a calm, balanced, and visually engaging environment within a large open-plan office.

Project overview

The brief centered on achieving subdivision and structure within the office without compromising its openness, while introducing a strong visual identity throughout the interior.

Budget: Kept within the allocated £225,000.

Timeframe: Completed on time in seven weeks.

Challenges

  • Achieving zoning and structure within a large open plan space without introducing solid barriers
  • Balancing acoustic performance with the need to preserve openness, sightlines, and natural light
  • Coordinating power, fire alarm, and HVAC alterations alongside decorative and furniture works

Solutions

  • Specifying suspended AllSfär Lull Screens in the Borealis design to create visual and acoustic separation without physical division while shaping the workspace
  • Using an alternating colour palette and suspended arrangement to add depth and texture while keeping the space feeling open and connected
  • Integrating a new under-floor power distribution system to support flexible, modern working areas
  • Full refresh of key areas including the tea point, meeting rooms, reception, and management offices

Scope of work

Breakout and amenity areas:

  • New tea point/breakout area, fitted with a dishwasher, fridge, water heater, water dispenser, and 75" TV screen

Meeting and collaboration spaces:

  • Large meeting room fitted with a 75" TV screen
  • Reception area fitted with a 75" TV screen
  • Manager's office fitted with a 75" TV screen

Infrastructure and building services:

  • Installation of a new under-floor power distribution system
  • Alterations to the fire alarm and HVAC systems

Furniture:

  • Supply and installation of office furniture throughout

Design approach

Suspended throughout the office, the Lull Screens create subtle zoning between work areas and circulation routes while maintaining clear sightlines and an open, connected feel throughout the environment. The Borealis pattern was selected to introduce movement and softness to the interior. Inspired by flowing, organic forms, the design creates visual rhythm throughout the space and delivers practical acoustic benefits for employees in the open-plan layout.

As well as supporting acoustic comfort, the screens act as a striking visual feature within the workplace. The alternating colour palette and suspended arrangement add depth and texture to the interior, helping to break up large areas without creating physical barriers or interrupting natural light.

Conclusion

The completed scheme successfully balances openness with privacy, creating a workplace that feels calm, considered, and visually engaging. The project demonstrates how acoustic solutions can play an important role in shaping productive, people-focused environments, supporting M-Group's own mission of delivering integrated solutions for the systems that support everyday life.
